It is time to start the preparation of Easter dishes.
Website Culture.pl prepared great article: "10 Tastiest Easter Treats" by Mai Jones Jeromski

http://culture.pl/en/article/10-tastiest-easter-treats

I would add to this list the homemade pate (often it is a rabbit pate) and my favorite: paskha (pasha) traditional Easter sweet dish made from white cheese (farmers' cheese/curd cheese), with delicacies: nuts, orange peel, dried apricots, raisins.

If you need żurek recipe, visit our blog: http://blog.polishorigins.com/2013/06/26/zurek-traditional-polish-sour-soup/

If you have some recipes prepared for Easter in your families, please share them with us.

I would love to try pashka and am going to share that link with others. There is a Facebook page called Polish Food, Customs and Traditions. You are welcome to take a look.

I just made Baranki Drozdzowe - yeast cake, which should be in a shape of a woolen lamb ...
It smells so good.

The receipe (in Polish) is here, and baranki very pretty

Hopefuly I had measuring cup in our metric European units, otherwise nothing would be possible in NY.

Happy Easter to all!
