Hi,

do you know if there's some database, or in general, archives, documents ... ,
about soldiers before/during/after WWII ?

My grandfather was in the polish army and even if I know a lot about him i'm always thinking
of collecting more informations about him.

Thank you!
Philip

My great-Grandfather Michal Brej served in the Austro-Hungarian Regiment 93, Company 8 "drafted" from Galicia from 1883-1886. Are there any on-line sources that can help me locate his service records? I was able to learn of his service from a record of his marriage bans that noted the military's permission for his marriage.

I am looking for military records for my grandfather Ludwig Renn who lived in Congress Poland (also called Russian Poland). He served in the Russian army during the Russo-Japanese War between 1904-1905, since his area was controlled by Russia. Before immigrating to the US in 1910, he lived in or near Slupca, Kleczew and Korwin, Russia, now Poland. Can anyone advise where I can find records online that I can have translated? I do not know the company or unit he served in under Russia.

Henryk

Have you used any of the films? It appears that all but one are listed as the registration cards. I would love it if as stated they also include the personnel record.

I will check with the volunteers at my local FHL location to see if they can tell me which of the 14 films for the letter "B" I might need to view.

Thanks again.
