Hi Roger,

Wow, very hard to read. Not sure if because of some type of compression of the images. Wonder if, in future, you might try uploading to a service like www.imgur.com and pasting link in your translation request as the images uploaded there do not get compressed so that might help with image quality.

Hi Valerie,

Thank you so much for the translations. Many of the the records I am finding lately are in very bad condition and hard to improve. I will look in to what you suggested. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Valerie,

I need your help on this translation for Wincenty Kubiak. Should not the godparents be Antoni Depta & Zofia Gorska?

You are absolutely correct Roger. Sorry, I had cut and paste the language and forgot to update the language with the correct names/info. Here's the updated version -- http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?p=29620#29620

Hi Sandy,

A few words have me stumped, plus the record is cut off on the right, but this is what I've got --

Budy Nowe. #28. This happened in the village of Łanięta on 20 June 1844 at 8:00 p.m., Konstancja Sobczak appeared, village midwife, age 60, residing in Budy Stare, in the presence of Wojciech Kolaniak?, servant farmhand in Budy Nowe, age 28, also Szymon Krystofiak?, "morgownik" (see link to definition below), in Budy Nowe, age 50, and showed us a a female child born in Budy Nowe today at 2:00 p.m. to Jadwiga Anyzewska, residing with her parents in Budy Nowe, age 24, whose husband, Jędrzej Kłosiński left a few years ago. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Małgorzata, and the godparents were the above mentioned Wojciech Kolaniak? and Katarzyna Wojtalik. This document was read aloud to those present, and was signed by us. Father Wawrzyniec Bukowski, pastor of Łanięta.

Thank you so much, Valerie, for translating Malgorzata's birth record. I know how difficult some of the handwriting can be to translate, especially when someone like me has chopped off part of the record on the righthand side of the document!

Malgorzata is the sister of Anna Anyzewski, born 26 June 1847 in Lanieta Parish, and her birth record is also waiting for a translation. I think her record will be easier for you to translate.

Warm wishes,
Sandy

Hi Valerie,

When time permits can you give the red highlighted area of this notarial record from 1810 a try?

Thank you,

Hi Lawrence,

Unfortunately this document is in the Russian language and I'm unable to assist with Russian. Perhaps someone in the "Russian records translations p.2" topic may be able to help.

Hi Sandra,

I missed this one... A little blurry but I got it all except for the date/month of birth as the first line of the record is cut off from the top.

#40. <missing> 1847 at 5:00 p.m., Anna Winiarska? appeared, village midwife residing in Budy Nowe, age 50, in the presence of Błażej Chajnacki, day-laborer in Suchodębie, age 22, also Mateusz Nowak "morgownik" (see link to definition below) in Budy Nowa, age 30, and showed us a a female child born in Budy Nowe today at 2:00 a.m. to Jadwiga Anyzewska, age 27, residing with her parents in Budy Nowe, whose spouse, Jędrzej Kłosiński, ran away from his wife. At Holy Baptism, performed this day, this child was given the name Anna, and the godparents were the above mentioned Błażej Chajnacki and Weronika Domagalska. This document was read aloud to those present, and was signed by us. Father Wawrzyniec Bukowski, pastor of Łanięta.
