Seeking information on John (Jan) Stanley Albiniak, who was born on 15 May 1875 in Lubelskie Province. He died on 23 Sep 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. According to his death certificate, his parents were Pawel Albiniak (also of Lubelskie) and Katarzyna Skutrow. He emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1911 and then to Michigan in 1919.

Albiniak is a very characteristic name for Janów Lubelski. I did the research there once (one of the grandmothers of Martha Stewart was Albiniak from Janów). There is Jan Albiniak born on 13 (25) May 1876, son of Antoni, shoemaker and Zuzanna Wojtan, 29. His second name was Władysław.
Here is the records: https://fotolubgens.lubgens.eu/janow_lubelski/urodzenia/1876/286-288.jpg entry 287
Do you know any names of siblings or any other information that we could use to confirm this is the right Jan? There is another Jan born 1876 in Turobin.

Thanks, that looks like a good possibility. It's a shame the first names are so common, however the timing and the locations certainly seem reasonable.

These do not appear to be indexed at FamilySearch.org. How were you able to find them?

Excellent! Google Chrome translates from Polish to English for me.

What can you tell me about the marriage of Jan Albiniak and Franciszka Furmaga in 1898. I believe those are my grandparents!

In particular, can you confirm the spelling of her last name? We have had several different versions over the years.

Thanks!

Was the Jan Albiniak born in 1905 in Mokrelipie parish the son of Jan Albiniak and Franciszka Furmaga? They may have been living in Gruszka Zaporska at that point.
