My husband's grandfather was from the Russian part of Poland,Stare Gorecko, not sure of the spelling.Another town ,Wola, was mentioned. Can anyone tell me where they might be located ? They spelled their name Jusko, but also Juszko before coming to the U.S.
Thanks for any information !

Deidre, your GF was most likely born in Galicia. This was an area that Austro-Hungary annexed from Poland in 1792 until 1918. Gorecko Stare is in Poland near the Ukrainian border. See the maps I made for you for the exact location.

Górecko Stare is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jozefow, within Bilgoraj County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. It lies approximately north-west of Józefów, east of Bilgoraj, and south of the regional capital Lublin. The village has a population of 332.
