Today is the Fat Thursday, celebrated always six days before the Ash Wednesday, when the 40-days lent will begin.

In Poland this tradition is widely celebrated: we meet with our friends and family to eat tones of sweets. Co-workers are eating them at the offices. There are the competitions of pączki eating on time and special jury is choosing the best confectioneries in towns.

The most popular Fat Thursday dishes are pączki and faworki (known also as chrust or chruścik)

Which one do you like best?
