Post subject: Is Kulaski, Poland a town?
This name came from my GGG Grandmother's death record in Chicago, Il USA. Is it a correct name? She was born in either 1849 or 1859. I know she married in the town of Sadki in the Posen region. Thank you in advance. beth

BlondieRides,
She was 25 in 1870, therefore born in 1845.

Dear friend Gil,
"She was 25 in 1870, therefore born in 1845", thus, do you mean point 5 ?:
Honestus Ignacy Andrzejewski and Honesta Jozefa Boinska (spe?) - could you tell me what family name see your eyes?
In this Sadki in the present-day Poland [abt. 2000] I can find:
Halina Andrzejewska & family Andrzejewski, Sadki, Poland
Roman Andrzejewski & family Andrzejewski, Sadki, Poland
What would the the second surname?
Greetings from sunny Warsaw! Same sunny in Paraiba?

Hi, Tad
Nice to see you back! I assume it is point 5 because there is no other bride from Kulaski.
In Poznan Project her surname was indexed as Boinske. Here I read "Boinske (comma ommited) virgo".

Boinska/Boinski? If yes, very rare surname in Poland, known as local in the Poznan/Posen province. Polish etymological works tell this derived from the very old Polish surname Bojanicki noted in Poland from the year 1294, going from the place named Bojanice same area, where the first family cradle and manor home would be located.
So, we can tell the Boinski is the national treasure, preserved in few places in the present-day Poland, and in the U.S.
Ciao!
Tad

Post subject: Boinski surname
My GGG grandmother, Josepha Boinska settled in Manitowoc, Wisconsin in 1872. Her sister, Antonina Boinska settled there, too. The family moved to Chicago and South Bend, Indiana, where the name is still here to this date.
