I have a document showing my great, great grandfather lived at house number 67/8 in Lublin in the year 1879. Does anyone have information on where this building was, and if it still exists?

Unfortunately, no. It lists miasta Lublina.
wsi is crossed out, and gminy is crossed out.
Then w domu pod Nr. 67/8.

I had recently read that some of the villages in Poland didn't use street names in the address, but only building and flat numbers. I was hoping this was the case.

Hello
Lublin is a big city, i cant believe it would not have street names. Villages, indeed has no streets (but thats just general rule).

What if your document is one of others, that are sergegated by street names? What about looking at document at first of the row, if it has street description?

I'm not sure how large Lublin was in 1879...so I was hopeful that I could locate the address without a street name.

Unfortunately, my document isn't grouped with others. I only have a copy of my grandfather's original that he carried with him.
