Correction to post: Searching information on family members. Grandfather Jan Tarsa listed BIESNA as birth place on one document but I found on another ship listing that he put SZALOWA. A third document listed his birth place as Bobowa. So I am confused. Any help on this would be appreciated. b 1879. Parents Josef Tarsa Katarzyna Librant. Also had sister Catharina Tarsa and brother Pauel Tarsa. Sister thought to have remained in Poland - searching for more information on her. Brother Pauel came to America in 1906 and no further information is available on him. Thanks. New Information -Grandfather Jan Tarsa b. 1878 in Biesna house #46. His father was Jozef Tarsa b. 1828 d.1881 and Katarzyna Libront b.1835 This was Jozef's 2nd marriage. Jozef Tarsa was born to Maria Tarsowna. Her parents were Marcin Tarsa and Katarzyna Wiejaczowa. His first wife was Franciska Zych d. 1871/1872. Her parents were Kazimierz Zych and Zofia Nowak. They had 8 children. Mikolaj b. 1871 d.1872, Katarzyna b. 1868, Zofia b. 1865, Kazimierz b. 1862 d. 1875, Marianna b. 1859, Pawel, b. 1858, Jozef b. 1855 and Jozefa b. 1853 d. 1878. The 2nd marriage children were Jan (my granfather) and Wiktoria b. 1874. This information was gather by a reseacher in Poland. I was given copies of the births. I am looking for any additional information on the Tarsa Family. THanks |
