I agree, you can consider this Jakub Krutul to be part of your family, even if you will not be able to find a record of the birth of his son Stanislavas/Stanislaw because the records from the year you need might never become available.

It could be well worth your while researching the others on that list of displaced persons to see if they are extended family members. Try tracing them back and pay special attention to whether their baptism records show any of your known family members as godparents/sponsors, or if their marriage records show someone from your family as witnesses.

Sophia, very interesting record about Ludwig Kommont. I found a possible sister to Friendrich Kommant. Her name is Anna Christine Kommant. She married Wilhelm Hermann. There is a tree on family search, however, some of the information posted on this tree is incorrect. I believe the poster was having a difficult time reading the records.

Gay, the article I posted about Heinrich Kommant and Emma Busenius states Heinrich was the second youngest of 4 children born to Friedrich and Caroline Lange. It also stated that Caroline (Heinrich's mother) was already in Canada with her second husband prior to 1914. Do you know the name of Caroline's husband? Do you know of any of the other siblings of Heinrich?

"50 jähriges Jubiläum. Am 1. Juli 1845 wurde die im Laufe der Jahrzehnte über die Grenzen des Vaterlandes hinaus bekannt gewor⸗dene Firma Julius Hutſtern hierſelbſt begründet. Julius Hutſtein, der einer alten öſterreichiſchen Familie entſtammte, ader in Breslau geboren wurde, begann am 1. Juli 1845 auf der Kupferſchmiedeſtraße eine auf dem beſcheidenſten Fuße eingerichtete Kolonialwaaren⸗ und Farbſtoff- Handlung, welche ſich nur mäßigen Umſatzes erfreute. Hutſtein beſchloß daher, ſich mehr auf techniſche Chemie zu werfen und begann die Ver- ſtudien 1847 mit dem Erlernen der lateiniſchen Sorache. AI said "Historical records for Michael Boburka indicate he was indeed traveling with family members, specifically his wife and daughter. While they do not appear on page 96 of the S.S. Rhein manifest you provided, a Michael Boburka (often listed by the Polish name Michał) is documented arriving in the United States during this era with the following companions:
Mary Boburka (Marya): His wife, recorded as approximately 28 years old at the time of travel.
Pauline Boburka (Paulina): His daughter, recorded as approximately 3 years old.
Journey Details
Origin: The family came from Butla (also known as Bitlia), a village then located in the Galicia region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This area is now part of modern-day Ukraine but had a significant Polish-speaking population at the time.
Michael's Role: He is typically listed as a Laborer (robotnik) on these manifests."

My issue with this "translation" is that it states Mary as his wife and Pauline as his daughter, which we know that Paulina is his wife and Mary is his daughter. It does mention the region Butla. I am attaching it in this post, if someone wants to review it and see if they can decipher it better than I can.

Also, I have been in contact with one of Aline's very distant cousins who has been helping since the start. She does not know how they are related, so we have been working together to see what we can come up with. She said they have a relative in Poland that knows a bit of family history, so she reached out to her yesterday to see if any of the discrepancies, ie. Jarockzo vs Jacejka, etc. mean anything or if some names got lost in translation. I will update once I hear back from her.

Okay, since the last few things I have posted had already been discovered (sorry. My brain is fried from tax season and I really don't come close when it comes to investigations, compared to y'all lol.) I do actually have brand new information about Mike's stay in the Mauthausen Concentration Camp. I received the documents from the Arolsen Archives this morning. I have just been able to dive a little deeper into them since coming home this afternoon. There is record of vaccine experimentation enclosed, and out of respect for Michael and family, I don't want to share his most vulnerable documented experiences on a public forum. Sophie, Trish, and Debra--I will share with you in an email, if you are interested for information/knowledge about Mike. This could be helpful for the search. It does mention he was married to a woman named Katharina previously. Below I will list his timeline from birth to 1951 - this is just what I gathered from using Google Translate, so this will probably have some inaccuracies/discrepancies. I am omitting the more sensitive topics for the forum.

I. Early Life & The Move to Germany (1918–1940)
November 11, 1918/1921: Born in Bitla (also recorded as Bitlab/Belta), Poland.
Note: Nazi records consistently used 1918, while he personally used 1921 in all post-war applications.
1939 – October 15, 1940: Worked as a farmworker for Farmer Aschinger in Lüben, near Hannover.
October 16, 1940 – March 31, 1941: Moved to Berlin to work as a Kitchen Helper/Cook at the prestigious Hotel Kempinski (Kurfürstendamm 27). He lived on-site during this period.

II. Arrest & The Civilian Prison System (1941–1942)
1941 – June 1942: Lived at Ritterstrasse 32 in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
June 12, 1942: Arrested by the Berlin police.
June 17, 1942 – December 16, 1942: Served a six-month sentence at the Berlin-Tegel Prison (Seidelstraße 39) for a charge of "Grand Theft."
December 16, 1942: Upon completing his sentence, he was not released. Instead, he was taken into "Preventive Detention" (S.V.) by the Gestapo and held at the police prison at Alexanderplatz.

I would add that these documents of births and the marriage provide solid evidence of Barbara's husband's name, whereas the story about her having a second husband does not have any documentation yet, only the word of the elderly woman you met.

So my grand father (Oleksandr Sachko) has brother who lived and died in Poland.
Brother name is Mieczyslaw Pokorski, his wife name is Maria Pokorska.
They are lived and died in Bystrzyca Kłodzka, ulica Lotnikow 3.
Dates of birth and passing away on the picture of gravestone.

My grand grand mother Anna Pokorska and her husband Ivan Sachko (don't know why they have different surnames at this time)
She some how connected with Piotr and Maria Pokorski. Possible lived and died in Bystrzyca Kłodzka.

thank you very much for the guidance. I got the town of Cieszanow from a typewritten "Declaration of Intention" that was filed when Rose started the naturalization process. She never did complete the process. As far as I know from the family, they were always Roman Catholic. Maybe the records are missing. I will look at the books you cited. It looks like I can see the first source you cited, id #866037270 at a local LDS library. I did not realize that bar on the top of geneteka records showed missing years. Thanks again as I thought I had looked closely at the titles of metrical books, but I missed this one.

Hello!

I am seeking any and all *non-vital records* (military, tax, land ownership, census, anything besides birth/marriage/death records which I already have for my great grandfather Władysław Forfa (born 1894 in Stary Gromadzyn) and his parents, Marianna Chochowska and Franciszek Forfa. Marianna later married Wojchiech Rejmontowski after her first husband died, so her name later became Marianna Rejmontowska.

I am only one *non-vital record* with my great grandfather's name on it away from getting my citizenship confirmed, so this is really important to me. If anyone can find me the missing link, I will send you really nice chocolates as a thank you (I'm serious, I really will!). Thank you!

I have trying to collect as much information as I can. This is so important and helpful.

ANYTHING at all you can think of is wonderful. This is only a part of my lineage. I have so far to go once I figure MOST of this out.
