Thanks for the reply, I found it interesting especially when I clicked on the link to the Pacuła name and found that the highest concentration of people with that last name are in the Jaroslaw area, the city where my grandfather was born.

Unfortunately, I haven't found meaning of your surname in my sources. I think, that you should also take into consideration Pacuła surname with Polish 'ł', pronounced like English 'w'. This is very popular surname in Poland in the opposite to Pacuta. Just look on the surnames deployment map in today's Poland: for Pacuta https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Pacuta only 13 people in the whole Poland, and for Pacuła https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Pacu%C5%82a 1313 people using this surname.

I am looking for the word origin of my family name, Pacuta, and contact from possible relatives in Poland or in the Polonia.

My grandfather (Mikal Pacuta) was born in 1898 in Jaroslaw Poland.
