Thanks for your help. Older family members said they Walenty and Antonina lived in the same region in Poland. I also found some pictures with polish writing on the back. A relative said that they are Antonina's brothers who stayed in Poland. The only problem is that I cannot figure out what they say in polish. Hoping you can help.

CORRECTION to the below message.

On the Polish re-issued birth certificate, there is a reference number on the left, handwritten:
Nr 778/53

I think that 53 is a year number, other similar certificates translated here on PO were with year in the reference number, identical to the year in the date on the bottom.

=> therefore the date of issue should be corrected to
DATE-of-birth-certificate: 4 July 1953 (deduced from Nr 778/53) and a seal from Kadzidło

FATHER: Ignacy [Kisiel]
MOTHER: Marianna born Świder [his wife]

Gilberto made a small map, including Strzałki, place of birth of Walenty's wife Antonina Niedzwiecka.

Birth place is Grale; Kadzidlo is the place of Civil Register Office. The other place is Strzalki.

I would suggest you to check the 221 Kisiel found in www.stevemorse.org (narrowed to polish and russian, only, because according to your information they came from what was then called Congress of Poland) to see if any name rings a bell.

Ostrołęka is circa 110 km North of Warsaw, so it fits "lived above Warsaw" description.
I do not understand "came from money" - did he came from a wealthy village/family?

On the NY passenger list, page 1 (yours) and 2 (the URL given by Gilberto) I can see following names:

Line 15: Kisiel Walenty, 20 years old, Gralach - which I would interpret Grale, in the area of Ostrołęka -, father Ignac Kisiel (should be Ignacy) from Gralach, going to Wisconsin (city name I can decipher Housatonic, but it's a river name in Connecticut) | p2: "who paid" brother in law, Chrostowsky, Wisconwin (Housatonic)

There is no Brale either in the same old Polish geographic book.
On the other side, Brale and Grale, recording based on what you hear.

I am looking forward for feedback from vbrlstrait, he shall have other elements.

On both lists, Hambourg and New York, it is written Gralach.

I could not find it in old "Słownik geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego i innych krajów słowiańskich " 1880-1914.

I will try an hypothesis based on declension: Grale is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kadzidło, within Ostrołęka County, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grale
If you ask in Polish: gdzie mieszkasz? where do you live? the answer is "w Gralach" (declension), in Grale. It could be it was recorded that way in Hambourg and New York.

Today's distribution of the name Kisiel in Poland shows quite a big number of them in Ostroleka area http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/kisiel.html

If you google for "Kisiel Kadzidlo" you will see several persons of that name, listed as receiving farm subsidies from the European Union. We may deduce they are old farmer's families, which have been residing there for decades if not centuries. Maybe your Walenty Kisiel is from Grale ?

I am trying to find where my great-grandfather came from in Poland. It is line #15 Kisiel, Walenty on the NewYork Passenger list. The appears to be spelled Gralach but there are no towns with any similar spelling. On the Hamburg Passenger List he is on the right side of the page the 13th one from the top. If anyone can help that would be great.
