Hi Jaz1943, My name is Justyn and I live in Poland. My granny, Amelia hails from the Rysz family on her mother's side. She still lives in the village of Wola Komborska, now at 86, and on discovering your post I just called her to make sure we are related. And we are indeed! Granny's mother, Hanka (Anna) Rysz was a sister of Zofia Rysz! What is more, there is another relative of yours living in Wola Komborska, granny's cousin who is the daughter of Zofia's sister Helka (Helena)! Granny was very moved on hearing about you - a relative of her aunt. She has always told us stories on the immigration of her brave aunts and on how for many years she exchanged correspondence with them and received presents from them! I am presently working on our family tree and history as a Christmas present for our two daughters and other relatives. My Grandfather Walter Jaszcar(Wladyslaw Jaszczur born in the 1890s in Kombornia migrated to the US via Copenhagen on the Frederick VIII in 1926 and my Grandmother Sofia Rysz(Zofia Rysz) was born in the 1890s in Wola Komborska and migrated to the US via Copenhagen on the Frederick VIII in 1927 with my Father and Uncle. I am trying to confirm their birth, marriage in 1920, and find relatives in Poland. Any help appreciated.
