Thanks for your offer. I am trying to get the following information:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
on 1748 record:&lt;br /&gt;
the name of the child lies at the end of the second line (ends at the&lt;br /&gt;
beginning of the 3rd. as &amp;quot;nam&amp;quot;, so it can be Marianan, Magdalenam,&lt;br /&gt;
Catharinam, etc)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
on 1750 record:&lt;br /&gt;
the date is at upper left side, before the word January.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
No problem if the rest of the image gets &amp;quot;washed out&amp;quot;: if the darkened&lt;br /&gt;
parts gets readible then it is ok for me.&lt;br /&gt;

                                      Hi all,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I remember to have seen a post, some time ago, of a member who was very good at editing pictures that were too darkened. The result was an image with a white background and black handwritten, like in the example 1783 M attached. I have two images (attached, below the example) I would like to make them clearer - not necessarialy as this example - in order to identifiy a name and a date.&lt;br /&gt;
