Thursday July 25th

"Zenon started knocking on doors to find us relatives to meet. Sure enough he found them. They in turn called another relative who had accumulated my grandmother’s family history back years and years and published it in a book. We were taken to the grave of our great grandparents, where we left a token of our visit..."

The story of the three sisters trip in Poland is coming to an end. Today we are publishing also the material prepared by Kasia and Marcin Hałat; authors of the website www.zaleze.com, a couple that hosted Gerre, Carol and Virginia during their stay in Załęże.

"We took a short ride to another section of Krakow to see the Ethographic Museum which presented the everyday life style of the Polish people. Now, you may be thinking “How many museums could we be interested in?” Each museum had a different presentation of homes, clothing, tools, occupations, etc. and was set up to keep you interested in each aspect..."
We have not forgotten about the three sisters trip: it is still being published on our blog. There are two new articles: about 21st and 22nd of July.

"Today we head for Krakow. We didn’t have to get up too early, but we had a full day. There was a Folk Festival this weekend just outside of the city so we headed on over there."
Wednesday July 17th

"Nobility day. We left the hotel before 9am and headed to Lancut Castle. We arrived to find a large three story building beautifully decorated, wonderful grounds, a solarium and a carriage house."

Here are the following parts of the three sisters' story:

July 15th: http://blog.polishorigins.com/2013/11/01/the-three-sisters-trip-monday-july-15th/

and July 16th: http://blog.polishorigins.com/2013/11/04/the-three-sisters-trip-tuesday-july-16th/

"This was our first experience in seeing how our ancestors lived. It showed the types of homes (from different eras) people lived in, stores, schools and churches they would have utilized."

Soon we will publish more.
