I am not sure about that. As I mentioned, it doesn't sound Polish. Look at the Germany map here: http://www.verwandt.de/karten/absolut/kilzer.html there are much more Kilzers. There are also dozens of Kilzers in Austria, click here: http://www.verwandt.at/karten/absolut/kilzer.html

I haven't found any information about your Kilzer surname. Certainly it is not of Polish origin.

What may interest you in 2002 there was 1 person using the surname Kilzer living in Wroclaw, which is the chief city of the historical region of Silesia in south-western Poland. Over the centuries the city has been part of Poland, Bohemia, Austria, Prussia, and Germany. Before WWII it belonged to Prussia.
