Some interesting photos to be found if you google Polish berry picker. Lewis Hine took several interesting photos.

The caption for this one: Slebzak family (Polish) working on Bottomley farm, near Baltimore, Md. They have worked here 3 years and one winter at Avery Island, Louisiana. All work except the very smallest. She hangs around the fields. Begin work about 4 A.M. and sometimes works until sunset.
Location: Baltimore, Maryland. Date Created/Published: 1909 July. LOC original medium: 1 photographic print. Picture of child labour by Lewis Hine.

I just found this 1909 colorized photo of some Polish berry pickers in Maryland. I love it!!!

You can view the high resolution photo here:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c2/Polish_berry_pickers_color.jpg

It was part of this wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Poles_in_the_United_States

The photo was originally taken by Lewis Hines. The caption says: Mrs. Bissie and family (Polish). They all work in fields near Baltimore in summer and have worked at Biloxi, Miss. for two years. Location: Baltimore, Maryland.

You can view the black and white version at the US Library of Congress: http://www.loc.gov/pictures/resource/nclc.00009/
