The confusion may be in that You have map and operat of different date. From what i know, the Cadastre set consist of two parts: a map with house numbers and an operat with a list of house owners. Depend on place, Cadastre was created every 20 or much more years. But You may have ordinary map, thats not Cadastre, well, it would be god to know its description in Rzeszów Archive. So what You mean By "Kataster" because in Polish it means in general Census (with map), so Kataster consists of: map and operat.
Anyway, map from Cadastre mostly should have written house numbers on it, compare houses with the list (operat) and here you go.

To make a long story short; I have the Brzyska Wola's Map, Kataster & Operat and don’t have a clue how they are related. Some people tell me I need all three. They are all of different dates but in the same era and I think in Polish. Could somebody suggest where I can go to get these interrupted for me and/or to straighten me out???

Thank you,

Larry,

I am guessing only:
- you have Brzyska Wola's maps (by Germans, by Russians, and current Polish)
- you have Brzyska Wola's kataster (numbered parcels on a village map, each parcel has an owner, current Polish?)
- Operat (what is that? a description? various owners over the time?)
It's like a puzzle.
What is missing then is a mapping of current parcels to house numbers using all other elements.

Wish you luck,
When I was in Brzyska Wola, Poland last May (my first visit); I tried to find out where my grandmother’s house (#213) was located when she was born in 1890. I was told that the house numbers in the village were changed twice; once by the Germans and once by the Russians. They told me about this Map Archive in Rzeszow; I went there and asked them to make a village map for me. They had to scan 19 “A” size hand written (by Austrian’s) sheets together in order to make this 1887 map.
