Hello,

I am looking for information/stories on a German police unit that took over Pelplin Abby during the war. The commander of this unit was Colonel Gustav Karl August Kleinow. The name or number of this unit is still unknown.
I have a letter dated 20 January 1943 which states that there was a fir at the Abby and that the local Pelplin fire department was pressed into service and forced to clean up after the fire.
Does anyone know the location/number of this fire house. Does anyone have any photos of this fire unit i could acquire a copy of.
I also have military maps that indicate this police unit took actions against the following villages.
I think some, if not all the names have been Germanized.
Bobyle, Zamosze, Zaborze, Rzepowszczyzna, Wolki, Grygorowszczyna. These actions took place October, 1943.
Does anyone have any personal/family stories about these villages. They may not even be in Poland.
I have a lot of photos of these police but very few names. The unit number or name of this police unit would be a great help in identifying more of these policeman.
If anyone has a story they would like to tell i would like to hear it.
Sincerely
Jerry Brazil
