Your Sidlik (or Szydlik rather) ancestors were form a village Dąbrowy. It used to belong to a parish in Myszyniec. Records form this parish are in a state archives in Pultusk (births 1902-1909, marriages 1896-1910, deaths 1900-1912, maybe also some newer records). Newer records should be in a local civil registry office. Older records perhap in a parish and, maybe, in a church archives a but you would need to check it. Polish Genealogical Society indexed births (1902-1912), marriages (1895-1911) and deaths (1900-1909). According to that database, Józef Szydlik, son of Jan and Ewa Kosiorek married Rozalia Kąpa (daughter of Józef and Marianna Kozon) in 1911. Some of the records are already linked to scans.
It was a bit more difficult with the other part of family as there are a numer of places called Wiktorowo but I think they were from the one that is in Krzynowłoga Mala gmina (community) and used to belong to a parish in Krzynowłoga Mała as well. There are quite a lot of records for this place (since 17th century in Płock church archives, 1826-1912 (and perhaps later) in a state archives in Pułtusk, civil records for 1808-1825 in the same archives, newer records in civil registry office in Krzynowłoga Mała). Quite a lot of records for this parish was indexed by Polish Genealogical Society and there is a lot of Rapacki there (I was not able to find Dominik Rapacki in the index however but there is a gap in the index before 1912 and he could have been born before that year).

Hello all,

I have been researching my family for quite a while. My mom’s side came from Poland and unfortunately I cannot find farther back than my great grandparents (and guesses as to great great grandparents). I have researched on ancestry.com as well as spoken to several family members (some with contradicting stories, which is frustrating!) This is what I have so far:

My grandpa: Water Joseph Sidlik ( 11 May 1924-14 Jun 2005) Born and died in New Britain, CT, USA.
His father was Joseph Frank Sidlik (15 Mar 1893 [Dombrome, Lomza, Russia]-2 Apr 1966 [Newington, CT, USA]) Joseph arrived in NY in 1911 from Rotterdam. He left his bride and child in Poland (joned him in USA in 1922).
- 22 May 1918- Enlistment in US Army
- 23 Apr 1919- discharge following shrapnel wound
- 1922- Earned American citizenship by serving with US army in France
- 2 Aug 1926- began working at Pratt and Whitney (New Britain, CT, USA). Learned training to work there from father’s friend in the Warsaw suburb of Donbrowa, Poland, where he was born.
- Died 2 Apr 1966 at a VA hospital
- Important names: When he first came to the USA, he lived with Maryann and Peter Michalak. When Maryann got pregnant with daughter Helen, she told Joseph to go to Poland for his wife and daughter. He did and they moved to the 6-family house- 28 Horace St-, which Maryann and Peter owned
- He married Rozalia Kompa in Poland on 14 Feb 1911.
- Joseph’s brothers and sisters:
o Stanislaus Sydlik (1882-1938)
o Katarzyna Barbara Sidlik (1885-1965)
o Stephen Sidlik (1891-1972)
o Rose Sidlik (1895-1972)
- I think Joseph’s parents were Jan Sidlik (~1860 in Poland) and Ewa Kosiorek (~1863 Poland). They married ~1885?
Walter Sidlik’s mother was Rozalia Kompa (10 Feb 1894 [Dabrowo, Malopolska]-12 Aug 1974 [New Britain, CT, USA]
- Baptism: 18 May 1894- Myszyniec, Mazowieckie, Poland
- 9 Jul 1923- Arrived in NYC. Departure: South Hampton Ship: Orbita. She came with her daughter Leoakadia (Lucy)
- Her parents were Stanislaw Kompa (b. ~1868 in Dombrowa, Poland) and Maryanna Kozon
- Rozalia’s bothers and sisters:
o Joseph
o Pauline **
o Stanley
o Anna (b. 1890)
o Maryanna (1890-1952)
- I have pictures of Pauline on a farm in Poland! She married a man with the last name Gracik. Children are Konstacjia, Stanislaw, and Stefka.
Joseph and Rozalia had other children along with my grandpa, Walter:
- Leoakadia (Lucy) Rose Sidlik (7 Nov 1911 [Dabrowa Kasi, Podlaskie, Poland]-18 Jul 1968 [New Britain, CT, USA)
- Joseph Sidlik
- Helen Sidlik

My Grandma: Jane Gladys Rapacka (Sidlik) (1923-2000) Born, raised, and died in New Britain, CT, USA.
Her father was Dominik Rapacki ( Nov 1892 [Wiktorowo, Poland]-31 Aug 1977 [New Britain, CT, USA])
- I think Dominik’s parents were Jozef Rapacki and Feliksa or Felicia Dzilinshich
- Dominik had a brother Victor Rapacki (1884-1974)
- Departure from Poland to NYC- Rotterdam. Ellis Island listed residence as Ulatowo, Russia
Her mother was Wladyslawa Bajkowski (Rapacka) (16 Aug 1892 [Wolzewska Guberna, Poland]-11 Jun 1976 [New Britain, CT, USA])
- 6 Jun 1911- arrived in NYC. Departure: Bremen
- Her father was Stanley Bajkowski (Born in Graziemy- Polish suburb of Russia. I have that he died at the age of 36? For his father, I only have the name Bajkewicz.
- Her mother ?? Ewa or Julianna Maikowkich ??
- Her brothers and sisters:
o Mary
o Stanley
o ??

I know this is really long, but thank you so much in advance for any information you can give me!
