Thank you Dave Just thinking So they would must likely worked on larger farms ,looking at the pictures of the area ,does not look like much has changed in 150 + years,far as a lot of huge farm lands ... And this is off topic do you have family in Rhode Island .reason i was in a polish cemetery last month and seen a few Nowicki head stones . And thank you again .

Katarzyna's parents are Andrzej and Rozalia Stec. The record also states: "atque hortulani" which means they were also peasants who owned a cottage and sufficient land for a garden but not for farm fields. The reason it states "atque/also" is because the record also states that Sebastian's parents were hortulani.

Update ,On the scan 11. year 1830 marriage record for Joannes Gatarski and Marianna Glowacki. I'am OK with this one .
The Scan 22 (blank move a little to the right )http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/59/1113/0/-/1/skan/full/mBfJtQih5RNsx4j6UahWQw This is also a marriage record 1836 for Sebastain Janicki and Catharina Stec .house # 124 ,working on making connect with the Stec lines, But cant make out who Catharina's parents are ... Don't need translation but help reading or making out what it say.

The first link refers refers to a record written in Latin, and Notes in Polish. You should post in "Latin records translation" topic of the forum.
The second link does not lead to Scan 22 1836 Feb 8 house # 124. If in Polish, post it in "Polish Records Translation" topic.

Oops, my fault: the tailed 'a' is the first one,not the second. Therefore, Gątarski is the polish spelling. Sounds Gontarski. The ending -a is the feminine form of the name.

Andrew's birth record is found in scan 65 of births in the link Gilberto provided so he was born in Pstragowo. Attached is a crop of the record.

Hello

My grandfather Francis J Janicki 1918-1977. This Father Andrew Janicki 1879 -1956, Arrival in US 1905, married 1909 to Valeria C Stezempek in Central Falls Rhode Island from the 1910 census they were from Austria/Poland possible from Pstragowo, Podkarpackie. Pstrągowa is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czudec, within Strzyżów County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. From his death certificate the spelling is off strongowa so taking a shot at this village.

And Andrew's Father was Joseph Janicki.All I have on Joseph Janicki is that his wife name was Madelena or Magdalina (Mary) Gontorska .
Any help would be great Thank you.
