If they were Evangelical (Lutheran), and from Poland, they were likely German. Have you checked out the Society For German Genealogy, SGGEE.ORG. ?
There is a Photo of Johanna "Hannah" (Boutz) O'Shuskey on Ancestry.com (yours?) attached to: Johanna "Hanna" Bautz B:1844

I have been looking for years to find more information on my family.

According to 1910 census with my immigrant grandmother, Hannah (maiden name Boutz) O'Shuskey, came to the US in 1870. According to records from relatives, her husband Carl/Charles O'Shuskey - originally said to be Oshensky and wife, Hannah/Johanna came with their daughter, Rickey/Rica O'Shuskey, who was born in Hamburg in May 1866. A copy of a baptismal record shows their second daughter was born in April 1875 in Shenadoah, Pennsylvania. The baptism was done by Joh. Gruhler at the St. John's Evangelical German Church. At some point they came to Groesbeck, Texas as a son was born in August 1880/1881 - confilicting documents. However County Tax records show only Hannah O'Shuskey paying taxes from 1884 onwards in Groesbeck, Texas - so assuming her husband, Carl/Charles died. The family first shows up on any census in Groesbeck, Texas in 1900- nothing beforehand.

I would like to find some proof that Carl/Charles existed. I would like to find where exactly they came from in Poland/Germany and where they came to - assume Shenandoah, Pa. I would like to know why they came to Groesbeck, Texas.

I have tried looking for collateral families, immigration lists, etc for so many years it is ridiculous.

Any thoughts?
