I didn't realize what those notations were so thank you for the information! Actually Wladislaw naturalized too and his were the papers we found which led us to this ship manifest. Now we have some more leads!</description>

The town of origin appears to be &amp;quot;Rencai&amp;quot; but we've been unable to locate that on maps. Additional clues from naturalization papers indicate Warsaw and some birth records from Marki which is just NE of Warsaw.&lt;br /&gt;

In that area I can only think of Ręczaj (Mszcznow),plenty of Lukaszewicz and Lukasiewicz, though not yours.&lt;br /&gt;
