Hi Marie,

I couldn't find records online for Slawno, but I did a search of the catalog at www.familysearch.org and they have quite a few microfilms for the location you are researching. If you live near a family research center, you can order these films online and they will ship them to the research center so you can search through them for your ancestors. Here are the entries with the years they have available. The films include birth, marriage, and death records.

Poland, Poznań, Sławno (Gniezno) - Church records ( 2 )
Kopie księg metrykalnych, 1808-1874
Księgi metrykalne, 1673-1950
Author:	Kościół rzymsko-katolicki. Parafja Sławno (Gniezno)

Hope this helps. Good luck!
Greetings ,
I'm still looking for my g-g-grandfather's place of death near or in Slawno,Wielkopolskie, Poland
He was married to Cecylia Koteras in 1849 and had a son,Martin in 1867. There is also a Francisca Braciszewska, born in 1800,Slawno .She married Michael Swiatek in 1824.Francisca's father was Casmirus braciszewski and mother Rosalie Konieczna.Michael's mother was Anna Koteras, probably Cecylia's sister.
When Cecylia was 52,in 1884 and son Martin was 16,they went to the US on the Fulda to NY and Buffalo.Martin's father,Martinus did not come with them,so I'm thinking he's dead, but I can't find any death records around Slawno/Gniezno area.Do you know how I can find where he was buried,a church or town ? What would be my next step to find where he disappeared to.I would like to find his records. Can you help me ?

Gratefully yours,
