I made a decision to be incredibly meticulous as I make another attempt at doing a great job of deciphering the microfilm files. I did not take photos, just notes. I will write back in a few months when I make more progress! Thanks you.

Yes, the records are in Latin.

Hi Donna,

I am sure that scan could help to provide help
"colonus" is colonist, settler
"cmeto" (not o-meto) in Latin, is kmieć in Polish, in short rich farmer

Is your record in Latin?

Hello,

I am doing quite well in going through the microfilm of my grandparents' parish but two things came up:

What does colonus or colo and ometo mean after a name?

What does Juda mean for a name? Was this person Jewish (the town was about 50% Jewish, so that could have happerned..
