Sereth is now Siret, Suceava, Romania. There are LDS records:

On a marriage certificate in Polish (1918) the groom is given as born and living in Sereth Bukowina.

I found a Bukowina near Gdansk, which seems very unlikely as the marriage was in Lublin.

Sereth does not look like a Polish place name, yet it's very clear on the marriage record.

Can anyone help?
