As ctamara said, Centers are manned by volunteers. Responses depend on their dedication and workload, and open times.
Have you looked as to whether you can order films online? A free Family Search account is required.

On Geneteka. three ways to search. Click on Lubelskie on the map.
1) enter only surname--get all results for that surname in Lubelskie
2) against księga , on drop down menu, select Hrubieszow--get all results for that parish.
3) enter surname and select Hrubieszow to narrow down results.

i was told my grandmother was from Plock. Mlawa.Warsaw, brezezie, and the list goes on. turns out she was from Grudusk. all of the above were wrong.

I checked the province next to Lublin and tried birth and marriage and found one in each. I clicked on every province listed individually. carol

did you put in dates such as 1890 to 1900
did you try births first
after trying lublin did you then try each province listed because thats how i located my wandering clan?

this is the database. try and stick to a date or in the ballpark. when i tried to stick to the name of the town it never was right. i can try to slowly walk you thru it? it definitely was the answer for me. do you have any date at all? Carol make sure you click on the english flag

Hello Carol.

Thank you for trying to help, but I'm not in the USA. There is an LDS listed for this part of the UK and that is the one that is not replying. But as you say they are volunteers so maybe I should just wait.

In the meantime, I wish I could make some progress using the online databases.

where are u? CALL INFO and get the 800 no of the main 'LDS CHURCH IN SALT LAKE CITY utah.They should be able to help you locate another center. Most of the center's are run by volunteers on their hours are flexible. In other words may set their own hours. Please excuse my mistakes however I have to use a word recognition system type on my computer. There are very sensitive and sometimes they work and sometimes thenyoney don't. i had my best luck with GENETEKA which is located under databases. it is in polish but i can help you how to search. can anyone explain this to Helena? i will if no one else does. Because of my problem it takes a long time to explain it was someone tell the time for me so I'll take it for you. carol

Unfortunately I have received no reply to my email to the local LDS centre, and their phone line is dead.

Can anyone please help me? I cannot get past my grandparents on either side - I can't find any records at all

Thank you Henryk. I do not understand your message. Are you saying these records are in these towns or available online?

I have been using the LDS records on familysearch.org and despite hours of searching I cannot resolve the puzzle.
