I looked up Wikis in various languages, see below, but do not see Warklau. After some search I do not believe &amp;quot;Warklau&amp;quot; is the correct German orthography, as we should see it in some historical records.&lt;br /&gt;
It is not in the alphabetiocal list of German places from 1900: Gemeindeverzeichnis Deutschland 1900&lt;br /&gt;

Gilberto reported several records with the name Warklau, so my hypothesis of typo-transformation is weak: Warkland -&amp;gt; Warklan -&amp;gt; Warklau &lt;br /&gt;
Maybe the second variant given in German Wiki: Warkelen -&amp;gt; Warklau&lt;br /&gt;

I am much more comfortable with Polish mutation: Warkljane -&amp;gt; Warklany.&lt;br /&gt;
