question on village owners

Hello All I know in the past when I have mentioned village names their has been at least one (if not more) respondent(s) that has been able to provide the nobleman who owned the said villages in that period (mostly late 1700' to about 1840's). My question is where is this information found? Is there a website that lists this in Polish or Russian, or rather does this come from a muriad of sources??

I for instance would like to know who the owner of Troki, Mejszagola and Szyrwinty were in the early 1800's.
