was in Margonin then the cemetery during that time would also be
in Margonin?

guessing that they would have attended church in Margonin.

Szamocin was erected in 1922. The source below for Margonin states XII century.

We will be visiting Szamocin (Samotschin) which is just north of Margonin
in Poznan. All the family records that I have found in microfilm are from
the Margonin Catholic Parish. Wondering if anyone knows this town - would
the graveyard for ancestors from the 1840-1880 timeframe be in Margonin or Szamocin?
