In the past Gilberto posted a link to a booklet containing handwritten script versions of given names in Cyrillic together with a good description of the booklet. Perhaps looking for given names in the booklet may prove easier than trying to transliterate them yourself.

Hattie/Harriet were two names some Polish women in the USA adopted as English substitutes for the Polish given name Jadwiga, which is quite likely the lady's actual given name.

Sorry for not just posting the link but I find it easier to attach a screen shot.
Is there a website
to do this?
The names are:

Frank (possibly Franciszek) Nowakowski or Novakowski
Harriet/Hattie Konkowska
Joseph and Theodora Nowakowski
Jeanne,
You may want to read this suggestion:
http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=2250&highlight=how+identify+surnames

Nowakowski/a will look like "Hobakobckiu" and Konkowska like "Ko?kobckiu".
Harriet/Hattie are not polish names, so you will have to find out how they were rendered.
Hi Jeanne,

I have used this website before and found it very helpful. It has resources for various languages including Russian. You may need a two step process:

1. first use the keyboard to convert from English to Russian. http://www.stevemorse.org/russian/eng2rus.html

2. Then use the keyboard to convert from Russian to Cyrillic script. http://www.stevemorse.org/russian/cyrprintcurs.html?font=print

Hope this helps,
