It turns out they weren't French at all! Her parents (Joseph Warzecha, born 1897, and Ludwika Tomczyk, born 1901) are both listed as Polish. Her father's birthplace is listed as Dzierzkowice and her mother's (and grandmother's) birthplace is listed as Salamony. It seems they left Poland probably in the early 1920's. The census records I found only list these place names, and an internet search indicates these names can refer to a few different locations in Poland. Since it appears that Joseph and Ludwika went together from Poland to France, along with Ludwika's mother (Josefa nee Sibinski), they must have met and married in Poland and likely came from towns relatively close together.
Hello,

i just spoke with the Łódź State Archives about the Wojków records. They confirmed there is no on-line available 1901 records from Wojków but they said that they have duplicat books of 1901 so they will check out for Ludwika Tomczyk birth record and they will email me. When i get some information i will send You private message. (maybe You can send me Your email).
About Dzierzkowice. Nodoby answers the phone today in Lublin State Archives, so i will try tomorrow. But i have been reading that all the Dzierzkowice records burned. I will confirm this when they answer the phone.

best
Hello,

In Geographical Dictionary of the Kingdom of Poland there is mentioned village Salamony. It says there were 2 villages of this name. One of them was in Wojcin (Wojków parish, Godynice community, Sieradz coynty). When i entered records for Wojcin parih, which are here: http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryki.php?op=sy&ar=3&zs=1730d
There is a lot of surname Tomczyk and Sibiński in Wojków parish. In Wojków parish records there are a lot of records from village salamony
Unofrtunately there is a gap for 1901 .... so i cant search for the ludwika Tomczyk.
If You want i can do a phone call to the State Archives and ask about year 1901.
I can also make a phone call to Kraśnik State Archives and ask about Dzierzkowice birth records.
