If you google “Radzyń Chełmiński” you discover that it is a town in Grudziądz County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, with approximately 2,000 inhabitants.
If you search on Radzyń Chełmiński in the Familysearch catalog, you get amongst other parishes, the Roman Catholic parish. It lists scanned records from 1674 onwards.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSZL-SSC9-5?i=536&cat=295333 has the 15 February 1858 birth record (entry # 21) for Franciscus Kuczynski and which clearly identifies his father as Adalbertus (=Wojciech in Polish) and mother as Cath. Gar. (which appears to be a suitable match to your clue of his mother’s name being Catherina Gardzielinska).

The birth of Catharina Gardzielewska on 21 Octber 1827 can be found as record #83 at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSZL-SSWP-W?i=240&cat=295333 The record clearly indicates that parents were Stanislaus Gardzielewski and Catharina Chmielewska (note: they married on 8 November 1812 in the same parish - see record https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSZL-SS7R-4?i=386&cat=295333 Stanislaus was 25 years old Catharina was 24 years old).

The marriage of Adalbertus Kuczenski and Catharina Gardzielewska was on 20 October 1847. Familysearch has not digitised the marriage records for 1847 yet.

This strongly suggests that this parish and set of digitised microfilms could be the one you are after. You are fortunate that the Familysearch digitised records cover such as extensive period of time (1674-late 1800s), while the site https://www.genealogiawarchiwach.pl has later records covering the period 1874-1913 – all these online records for your parish of interest should provide you hours of fun.

It really depends when he arrived. I also had ancestors from Poland/Germany = Prussia. My ancestors arrived at Castle Garden New York which is a port in New York before Ellis Island. I tried looking there but the site is down right now. My ancestor arrived around 1886. Though later Ellis Island opens up about 1892. Though it is possible they could of arrived at another port but those are most likely ports.

Here is the site for castlegarden: http://www.castlegarden.org/searcher.php
Here is Ellis Island: https://libertyellisfoundation.org/passenger

If you have your ancestor in a USA census records; you might be able to see when he arrived.
By looking at familysearch.org; he appears his immigration is around 1881. It says Germany because it was controlled by Germany at that time. Though areas in Prussia went back and forward between Germany and Poland from the Partition and wars. So most likely he came through castlegarden and not ellis island; or another port.
