Thanks, Tom! I had not seen that website before. Good to know that we still have an easy-to-use resource for finding out if people with a particular surname are clustered in specific areas.

The surname map was always part of My Heritage. It used to be possible to use the map without being a subscriber but it looks like that is no longer the case. In the past couple of years there have been mergers and byouts in the genealogy business. My Heritage and Legacy merged about a year ago and now some things which used to be free ("Za darmo") now require a paid subscription---profit seems to be the name of the game.

Is anyone else having problems? It seems it's redirecting me to My Heritage, which is a paid subscription site?
