Wondering if you found this marriage record for Francis Bonk: His parents are also Laurent Bonk and Marianna Sobieszczyk.

Have you considered requesting a search of the USCIS for your ancstor's citizenship or alien registration papers? It's not cheap (about $65) - but for me it was a good value. Searching for more information on Bartholomew Bonk who settled in the Radom, Ill. area approximately 1870......specifically on where he was born in the old country . I believe that he emigrated from Hamburg to Quebec onboard the ship Gutenberg in 1868 with his two brothers. He married Joanna Musial sometime after arriving in the U.S...His parents were Laurent Bonk and Marianna Sobieszczyk , unsure where in Poland they were from or if they emigrated to the U.S. later.
