Hello, Mick.
The currency of Prussian partition of Poland was Prussian money: Thaler, Pfennig, Silbergroschen and other.
In Polish Thaler is written as taler, Pfennig - fenig, and Silbergroschen as srebrny grosz.
Tal.is abbreviation for "taler", srgr. is abbreviation for "srebrny grosz" and fen. is that for "fenig".
Komornik was a person who did not have his own house and land, tenant. "Wd. komor." is probably a widow komornica (feminine form of komornik).
Czest,
Last Sept. we made trip to Poland to visit Krostkowo, the town of our ancestors. While there, we visited the Church to which many of our ancestors belonged.
While there, the Pastor presented us with a copy of the Parish History book. The book is entirely in Polish and I'm working on translating it, bit by bit, but am stumped by a chart in the book that lists the amount of money contributed by church members for a building fund in 1869.
In this case, my grgr grandfather, Franciszek Grochowski is noted as contributing "Komornik 1 Tal. 20 srgr 8 fen." and Grochowska is noted as contributing "wd.Komornik 25 srgr 4 fen.
See attached scanned document.
Can anyone provide a translation as to what the terminology means?

Thank you
