Well this search has been painstaking. But I believe I have found the first wife of Erasmus Stasik. I believe her to be Marianna Przybylska. She was married once before in 1888 to Michael Witkowiak they had a child Prakseda Witkowska. 4 years after marrying Micheal I find a marriage licence with a Maria Witkowiak marrying a Stanislaus Erasmus. The certificate said that She had been married before and dissolved by death. So I think I may have found the 1st wife. My ggf mother. She claims to be from Wyrobx, posen on Prakseda's birth cert., when she married Michael she said she was born German/Poland and when she married Stanislaus Erasmus she said she was born Germany. She used the same birth dates on both marriages. Dec. 15, 1864. So if there is anyone out there that can tell me anything about Przybylska's I would love to know. I can find nothing on her except for what I have said. All of this took place in Pittsburgh. By 1907 my gggf was remarring Elizabeth Ogrodnik and Saidie is seeeking gaurdian ship so she can marry. I do have copies of both marriages and sadies BC so if anyone would like to see to help me in this new search I would be glad to forward them. Thanks

Just another little mention of what I have accomplished, with the help of some great people, to date. Well last night I spoke with my 3rd cousin, Erazem's daughters child Patricia. Sophie Blanch Stasik was her mom and Steven Richard Jarosz her father. I am expecting pics of the 2nd wife and her mom, whooo hooo! I am very excited to finally put some faces to all these people I have been researching. Also found out that Steve Michael Jarosz is Patricia's younger brother, there was another daughter but she passed 2 years ago January. Her married name is Doloris Sabados. I was told that Steven M. has paperwork on some people. Im not sure who yet but I plan to call him today and ask him if he can tell me what he has and If I could get a copy of them. He also has pics.

Now to business: I still can not find the family before 1910. I do believe they were in Pennsylvania but where I do not know. Any suggestions that you think may help me locate them I would glady accept.
Also still can not find the 1st wife Mary, even though Story in the family is that she did from a ruptured appendix posioning. and I am not sure of any of the 3rd cousins from 1st family are around I have not been able to find them yet. I am not sure about the death date of mary either. We have conflicting stories and a marriage application that says March 1906 was the first marriages end. I still have not found Erazem or Mary on the boat over, and let me just say that looking at those ship manifests are mind boggling. I am still pushing forward with this because now my curiousity is KILLING me. Ok well back to looking, wish me luck!

Oh yeah one more thing, very strange coincidence, he also told me that he remembers as a child going to Tidioute, pa to a farm there with his parents. Tidioute is my town of residence and its 2.5 hours away from the rest of the family in Pittsburgh. How strange or is it actually a small world???

Ok Guys some very exciting news, I spoke with one of Sofies children!!!!! He is 62, living in Pgh and guess what, He has an older sister. Can you belive it. He told me that he would call his sister and have her call me so I am anxiously awaiting that call. He told me that he had photos, he verified Erazem at St. Stanislaus Cemetary in Etna, her confirmed Elizbieta and even soem of Sofies brothers and sisters. So I jusat wanted to tell everyone what I have been up to and I guess it is paying off. I am hoping that she knows where her grandparents came from, Who Sadie is, maybe even ifno on Mary the mother of the first 4 children. I am very excited. So keep your fingers crossed for me and I will keep you all up to date. Woohoo, so happy right now.
Well Elizabeth (Elzbieta -in Polish) could have been married before is one option. Eliz Kulka- maiden name- then she married a Ogrodrick, he died so Mrs Ogrodrick then married Erazem or the other way around. Death cert will show the real Mrs. Stasik. Save the docs for later. I agree, clerks write down the wrong stuff from Polish spoken language. If Erazem said dziękuję what would you write down? ........................... jen coo ya.....it means thank you!

I am below erie and above pittsburgh by 2.5 hours. Now I sent away for his marriage application and it came back differntly than I expected. I did find on LDS erazem & elizabeth Ogrodrick and application that came back was erazem and Elizbeita Kulka????? Very strange if you ask me. even though there were coincidents like he listed his address as 107 Rose st When he actually lived at 107 Ruch str. Now Shellie said it could have been a clerk listening to polish twang. So I looked to where my LDS office was and it is to far for me to travel, like I said I am broke and am lucky to have a computer. So we will see. Thanks for the hlep though its awsome to find people like you.
