You might try writing to someone in English, the young generation learn English at school although usually this is a rather passive knowledge.

This surname seems to be rare enough so perhaps contacting random people bearing this name might put you on the right track.

I wonder whether other PO members find Facebook and similar networks effective in family search.

Hello, Looking at my atlas, I only find one town named Waksmund and no other towns with a similiar spelling, so I think these may all refer to Waksmund.

Today I came across someone name Thomas Lee Wasmund who passed away few day ago.

I am wondering if Wasmund, Waksmundzki, Waksmundski are same village of Waksmund Valley.
