Welcome to the Forum Lynda!

It seems that there are still many people by the name Turek living in present-day Poland - more then 1500 . Just look at the surnames map here: http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/turek.html . From the map we can read that there are more than 100 in the district of Brzesko, where your Tworkowa belongs. To see the map with Tworkowa on google maps click here:

So it makes the search a little challenging but on the other side, there is a chance that among these more than 100 Tureks there are your distant relatives .

My grandparents, Boleslaw and Wiktorya Turek, were from Tworkowa, Poland. They were born in 1887 and 1892. Wiktorya's maiden name was Brzek. On the ship manifest I found on Ellis Island website, it lists their ethnicity as Austrian/Polish. I would like to know if I have any relatives still living in Poland.
They had a daughter Anna and a son Stanley both born in Poland. My grandparents came to the U.S. in 1913 with their daughter. Stanley came a few years later.
I would be very happy to hear from anyone who might know of Boleslaw and Wiktorya Turek. Thank you.
