This is true. In Poland, the postwar government took care of spreading hatred of the Germans. And many people from the wartime generation ago have given up. For example, this was the former director of the museum - perhaps the rest so it retains much of the pre-war history of the city. However, even greater in Poland was the hatred of the Russians - as of course does not officially said. But people still do not like the Russians and the Germans have long been nice neighbors across the Oder River!

Hello Magda,

Again, thank you very much for your work and time in assisting me in my research of my family.

I have spoken to my mother about this, however at 88 years her memory is not all the best. Unfortunately, very few photographs survived the war - only some from close family members.

Some pictures from Rąpin - the church, in front of the school and the pre-war cemetery. I spoke with the pastor and he also does not know anything about the old Protestant vital records.

I'm still going to go to Rapin (5 km) and do some photos. It is, however, very extensive village, and I could not find the information in which they lived home Wabnitz Carl Gottlieb and his wife Bertha.
Drezdenko was not destroyed during the war and most of the buildings still standing. Send you another link to an album with old and new photographs Drezdenko.
