I can offer part of the answer to your question. Kraj means country; it takes an ending here because of the preposition. I would translate the phrase &amp;quot;w kraju panstwa rossyiskiego&amp;quot; to mean &amp;quot;in Russia.&amp;quot; It is, if taken literally, a bit more of a stilted phrase, something like &amp;quot;in the country of the people of Russia&amp;quot; or some such.&lt;br /&gt;
As for where, specifically, the place is, I can only say I think you have made a very good connection between what is written in the document and what is on the map. I hope others who are more knowledgeable about geography than I am will add to this.&lt;br /&gt;
