Hi John,

You are correct that there is nothing important that you don't already know to learn from the marriage record. I can't speak to the death record since it is in German, which is not within my range of expertise.

It was worth a try.

Hi John,

The word you see as sutox is actually sutor which specifies his occupation and means cobbler/shoemaker. The word Lutheranus gives his religion—Lutheran. The pertinent portion of the entry for the B & B of Marcin is translated as follows: “Samuel Sobotka, a shoemaker, a Lutheran, and his legitimate wife/consort Agata Kwaśniewska, a Catholic.

The marriage would probably be worth posting for translation since it may contain info which would facilitate your research.
