I often check eBay for old picture postcards and photographs. When you type in “Zakopane”, for example, you’ll find quite a selection of interesting old postcards, photos, and other items for sale (I don't buy them, just look at them ...) Check out this one, for example (Winter in Zakopane, 1941):
