The Lubelskie Korzenie Group is a volunteer initiative of genealogists active for a decade now. For everyone whose roots are in Lublin area (including Zamość, Chełm and other regions around) the Lubgens Database of Indexes: https://regestry.lubgens.eu/ developed by The Lubelskie Korzenie Groupe is a treasure of well organized information.

Even if you are living far away from Lublin and can't visit any archives there it is a good chance that your ancestors' parish is indexed in the database and often digitized. In that case you can easily find plenty of information through the Lubgengs database from the comfort of your home, for free.

Of course, our we in PolishOrigins always use it whenever we plan to travel to Lublin area with our guests on a genealogy tour or when we have genealogy research project including ancestors from Lublin region.

Lubelskie Korzenie Group raises the funds to buy a new equipment needed to metrical books digitization.

We have digitized metrical books for such parishes as Nienadówka, Krzeszów (Podkarpackie), Janów Lubelski (Lubelskie) or Jarocin, Ulanów (Podkarpackie) registry offices.
