Hi Melanie,
Here is a link to the image on Family Search, in case that is easier for others to access:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9P1Z-9K57?i=443&cc=1921481&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3A23QV-6CR
I see the surname the same way that Marcel sees it. Having said that, ship passenger lists are famous for incorrect spellings, so one has to be very flexible in trying to interpret what is written there.
Luckily, there are a few extra clues here that help you know whether this Anna is the one you want. First, that she is travelling with her 6 month old infant, Jozef. Second, that she is going to her husband Stanislaw in Pittsburgh. Third, her brother, Franz Prostek is on the next line (note that he is going to the same house on the same street in Pittsburgh). If these details are right for your Anna, then it is worth trying to decipher where she is from. It is not easy to tell. The town names are not correctly written, for either Anna or for Franz. What is written for Anna is: Zachonzkiego. For Franz: Jozna. Neither of these make sense to me. Jozna may possibly be Jasna. There are places in Poland that begin with "Zacho..." because the word for "west" is Zachod (with an accent over the O). The task, then, is to find towns that approximate these spellings, but which were in the Russian partition. Perhaps someone else here will have some ideas.
Best of luck in your search,
I think the surname looks like Dobrońska, but don't take it for granted.
Do You have more details about Anna?
