Hi Shellie,
About 6 months after i posted this info on my family i got a response from my cousin in the ukraine. His grandfather was my grandmother's brother. We are in contact all the time via email. I now have lots of cousins and great aunts and uncles. When my grandparent's came to Canada they thought all their relatives were killed in the war. They were unable to write or communicate so that is what they assumed happened to their family. I found out that all their siblings and family either died naturally or are still alive today.
the man in the far left is my grandfather, beside him is my grandmother. Seated on the far left is my great grandmother with my dad sitting on her lap. The other little boy is my uncle, my dad's brother. The other lady seated is my aunt, my grandmother's sister, behind her, her husband who died soon after returning from the war and the baby in her lap is their child Anna. She has just died recently. The only person alive in that photo is my dad who is in a home now. When i told him of my findings, he didn't say much. He had a hard time in the ukraine and was glad to come to Canada. My grandparent's didn't talk about it much either although i wish i would have found more information while they were alive. But who thinks about that when you are young. Someday, i hope to visit the ukraine and meet all the relatives. Thankyou for you interest.
Ancestry family tree program was helpful in finding a lot of information for me.
Hi Rindi,
I just came across your posting and it was nice to look at your photos. Your story is interesting. Have you learned anything new since you posted this query?

I was wondering who is who in your photos. The clothing is so interesting! I see in the bottom photo that the man on the far left was added to the photo. Do you know anything about him?
