Hello all,

I hope someone can help me here. I have already tried several times to find something on the web, unfortunately without success.

I am looking for a very good friend from the USA for Otto Herman Sawitoski, the name of the father should be Johann. Mother's name was Rose Kiuska but the surname may have been spelled differently.

Otto Herman Sawitoski was born on September 24, 1864, probably in Danzig.
Probably the surname Sawitoski was also spelled differently at that time e.g. Savitowski or Savitoski.

Otto Herman Sawitoski left Danzig in the 1880s.
On 7 May 1883 he arrived in the USA in South Hampton NY, he was on the ship Nurnberg/Nürnberg, the ship left from Bremen.

We are looking for any proof, birth certificates ect. We would be very grateful for any help in this direction.

I can't find a birth register in Danzig from that time.
