Hi,
I think "de""in Latin in its simple meaning is "from". I am going to locate my church latin grammar book. Oh, it's already been answered. I agree with "par". Better late then never.
I was not aware of these sites, but I had a copy of Polish Roots by Rosemary Chorzempa with me. Seeing "par" as an abbreviation for parish just did not occur to me.
From what I have seen in latin recors it means that the groom was from/resided in Lekno, and the bride in Rybowo. Par is the abbreviation for parocchia = parish.

Through the Poznan Project, I found the marriage of Michael Lasiński and Rosalia Nowak in the Catholic parish of Grylewo.

Today, I looked at the microfilm of the record at the local LDS Family History Center. I do not have an image, but what I took down looks like:

Rybowo Michael Lasiński
de Łekno par Łekno
et Rosalia Nowak de Rybowo

I know that Rybowo and Łekno are both villages. Does anyone now what this notation indicates? Are they from Rybowo or from Łekno?

Dziękuję
