Looking for info on my grandmother, Anna Josephine Iwaszko, born in 1891. My grandmother was born in Suwalska(Gubernia) region and immigrated to Shenandoah, PA after her mother died. Her father, Piotr Iwaszko, born in 1853, immigrated on May 29, 1895 on the Oldenberg. My grandmother inherited property in Poland, but did not claim it because of travel restrictions on Eastern Europe by the USSR. I would like to find who her mother was and where my grandmother was from. She said it was a beautiful place. She had relatives in Scranton, PA at some point.
