3 births for families residing there were registered in Bogoria between 1835-1840
Can't seem to find this village on Google maps, does it even exist? was in incorporated to another town?
Hi,
I see Kolonia Pęcławska and Pęcławice Górne in the neighborhood of Bogoria, on google maps. Have you tried finding old maps, to see what was in that area at the time of the records you are talking about?
Best regards,
Sophia

not sure if Pęcławice is the right spelling since Penclawic appears in this spelling for 3 records so believe there was no typo of the clerk.
Sadly couldn't find online map of this area in that era.
Also checked in genealodzy and it does not mention it.

Hi,

Probably the most detailed map of the Kingdom of Poland (Królestwo Polskie) aka Russian Poland is the attached map from 1907. During the time of your records the kingdom was known as the Congress Kingdom of Poland (Kongresowe Królestwo Polskie), a quasi independent part of the Russian Empire and by 1907 it no longer enjoyed that quasi-independent status the places shown on the map remain the same. Note that Bogoria is spelled Bogorya on the map, which was the usual spelling prior to the 20th Century Polish spelling reforms. In 1907 the region was within Gubierna Radomska (Province of Radom) and Powiat Sandomierski (County of Sandomierz).

Wishing you successful research,
